Located in several cellular components, including basal dendrite; mitochondrion; and podosome. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; genitourinary system; oral region epithelium; sensory organ; and skin. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in abdominal aortic aneurysm; chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis; colorectal adenoma; rectal benign neoplasm; and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
