5 Thus, vasopressin-induced PGE2 production could be explained by a synergistic effect of protein kinase C activation together with an increase in [Ca2+]f. A synergistic action of Ca2+ and PMA on acylhydrolase activity could also be observed in nonpermeabilized cells where A23187 was used to increase [Ca2+]f.
