1 Release of acetylcholinesterase-containing vesicles from human erythrocyte membranes induced by dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) was inhibited by exposure of red cells to cationic amphiphilic drugs like tetracaine, chlorpromazine and primaquine which all are known to induce stomatocyte formation.
