2 Water immersion (WI)-induced alterations of circulating plasma volume (PV), plasma renin activity (PRA), plasma levels of aldosterone (Ald), vasopressin (AVP) and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) were examined in 12 patients with noninflammatory acute renal failure (ARF) at the anuric/oliguric phase, in 20 hemodialyzed patients with chronic renal failure and in 15 healthy subjects.
