1 CONCLUSIONS: Growth hormone replacement leads to a decrease in visceral fat, modulates the thyroid hormone levels by increasing peripheral conversion of thyroxine to triiodothyronine and probably is a physiological regulator of peripheral thyroxine metabolism, slightly deteriorates the carbohydrate metabolism, and results in an increase of bone mineral density of lumbar spine and femoral neck.
